B. is genuinely open-minded. She has not let herself be kept within the confines of what it expected of a woman of stature. She loves music, art, and acting. It is truly ways of expressing one's self without compromising pieces of yourself, but showing that you can utilize what you have to make pieces of art come to life - a song, a painting, a role in a play. She truly believed in creativity in all forms and that is shown in how fruitful her children's minds are. She never kept them from doing what they wanted and they had talent for.

Her sense of humour was wonderful – quirky would be a good word for it. Though proper and poised, B. had her times where she was a child at heart too.


She arrives on Tabula Rasa when she dies in the fire that claims her life, her husband's, and destroys the entire mansion at the beginning of The Bad Beginning.

Her inventory is as follows:

One silver wedding band
One silver ring with a solitary diamond
A dark blue dress (long sleeves, conservative round collar, skirt hovers over the ground – very Victorian) - two piece of the shirt/bodice and then the many-layer skirt
White undergarments (corset, knickers, camisole)
Black hosiery
Black one-inch boots
Embroidered handkerchief (tucked into her left sleeve)
